

A little history on the beginnings of InFood.
Arriving in Jeffreys Bay in the Autumn of 2005, Jayne of InFood very soon made her mark, at first in the tough discipline of the catering trade, and then, upon becoming aware of the total lack of artisan made and chemical free breads, and that a cup of real barista made coffee was not to be found anywhere in the area, Jayne set about righting what Jayne thought to be an absolute tragedy.
In search of a ‘change of life’ Jayne left her very successful catering business in Cape Town to try and find more meaning to her life and needed space in which to find it, hence this magical little town called Jeffreys Bay. It was a less stressful country life that Jayne was in need of. But! less stressful is not really where Jayne has landed though, far from it, truth be told. However In Food Bakery and Deli Restaurant occupies almost all of her time.
Jayne constantly strives to improve upon an already proven recipe for success. She has made a very strong impression on the local community and visitors to the famous seaside town, winning the ‘New Business of the Year’ award for the region as well as placing second in the ‘Business Woman of the Year’, and while it is not about winning awards, the recognition of a job well done is gracefully accepted, although the greatest satisfaction is and will always be a satisfied customer’s smiling face.

The Nazz
The snazzy Nazz consists of the finest Danish smoked salmon and cottage cheese on top of a fresh croissant with a carefully poached free range egg and a feather of dill, sublime.

InFood Burger
A secret combo (we’ll tell you if you ask) of ground beef and lean pork mixed in with a lot of other ingredients have made this a firm favourite with many of our customers. This burger comes to you with a tzatziki sauce and German gherkins.

The Vegetarian Mexicano
Spicy but not very hot refritos frijoles (refried beans) and grilled vegetables with cheddar cheese, coriander and avocado pear w/a.

Bacon, Mushroom and Chevin cheese
A balsamic marinated large brown mushroom with two slices of back bacon covered with chevin cheese and placed under the salamander ’til melted.

The Ploughman’s Board
Slices of gypsy ham and Italian salami, taleggio and mature cheddar cheese with pickled onions, orange preserve, piccalilli and chicken liver pate with assorted artisan fresh breads.

Mediterranean Mezze Platter
Humus and tzatziki, spanokopita and falafel, with grilled garlicky olives,sun-dried tomatoes and haloumi cheese.. . . of mezzes and tappas and the breaking of bread.

The Scramble
Two free range eggs scrambled and served on a large slice of ciabatta with crispy bacon. Add smoked oyster mushrooms for full-on added flavor.

Basil and Fresh Tomato Pasta
Summertime and the living is easy……. penne pasta with basil pesto, slow roasted tomato sauce, raw tomato and parmesan cheese shavings with extra virgin olive oil – light and breezy.

Quinoa Salad
A salad with the south American ‘wonder food’ quinoa with pine-nuts, raisins and diced grilled vegetables.
